Role Summary
The Manager - Finance and Budgeting will play a pivotal role in building, structuring, and leading the finance function of the organization. This is a high-impact opportunity for a capable finance professional to establish sound financial systems, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic guidance to management. The role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on financial management capability with the ability to support business decisions through insightful analysis and forward-looking planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Function Development
• Build and lead the finance and accounting function in line with the company’s growth objectives.
• Develop the departmental structure, reporting lines, and role allocation required for an efficient finance operation.
• Establish and institutionalize finance policies, procedures, and workflows.
2. Financial Systems and Internal Controls
• Design and implement robust financial systems, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
• Ensure accuracy, discipline, and transparency across accounting and finance operations.
• Strengthen internal control practices to support operational and financial reliability.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Planning
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Conduct scenario planning and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Provide timely MIS reports and performance insights to support strategic and operational goals.
4. Business Advisory and Decision Support
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to management.
• Translate financial data into practical insights for commercial and operational decisions.
• Support business strategy by identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
5. Compliance and Financial Reporting
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, corporate regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and integrity of financial statements and management reports.
• Support adherence to IFRS and other relevant financial standards.
6. Team Leadership and Capability Building
• Lead, supervise, and develop the finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen team capability to support a growing and dynamic business environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACMA, or ACCA will be preferred.
• CA is not mandatory where strong relevant practical experience is demonstrated.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
